Real Bride Taylor's Free-Spirited Mountain Elopement

November 10, 2021

The Majors’s wedding this past June was completely to die for: between their laid-back approach to planning, the breathtaking scenery, and every detail was completely perfect. This mountaintop elopement was too amazing to not share on the blog, so read on to see all the incredible details of this wedding:

Taylor and Kevin met at a dive bar in their town, where they were introduced by one of Taylor’s coworkers. On their first date, he picked up her favorite wine and made her favorite dinner, and Taylor says he’s been taking care of her ever since.

The couple opted to elope, spending the day alone with a few cherished loved ones. Taylor’s sister married the two, making the entire ceremony completely personal and ensuring the entire day was full of joy and love.

“She made it short, sweet, and FUNNY. My husband doesn’t show a lot of emotion, but we were crying with laughter when we said our vows. It was so us.”

When Taylor and Kevin chose to elope, they decided to keep planning as stress-free as possible. If you can believe it, they didn’t even choose their venue until the day of their wedding! Taylor simply texted Kevin while getting her hair done, “Let’s go ahead and do that spot in the Garden of the Gods,” and that was that! Other than the date and a few select vendors that needed to be booked ahead of time, Taylor and Kevin kept things as spontaneous as possible.

One of our favorite things about this wedding was Taylor’s personal style choices: she wore style 220119, and used accessories to infuse the dress with her own unique style. Instead of heels, Taylor wore white booties, perfectly suiting the boho look of her wedding. She also wore an amazing cowboy hat, complete with a feather band that we think was a perfect replacement for the traditional veil.

“It was simple, like me, but added a fun bohemian elegance with that gorgeous train! It had just enough character for people to know that today was a special day without taking away from who I am as a person. Plus it had that powerful slit up the side to show off my boots!”

To complement the stunning scenery without overpowering it, Taylor’s bouquet was wild, flowing, and neutral, adding to her boho vibe without competing with the natural beauty of the Garden of the Gods.

From the entire team at Enchanting by Mon Cheri, congratulations Taylor & Kevin! May each day be as joyful, spontaneous, and beautiful as your wedding.
